In the sequel to "Magic, Madness, and Mischief, " Kalvan, now 13, discovers new magical powers and uses them, with the help of the snarky fire hare, Sparx, and his dead Aunt Noelle, to rescue his long-lost father in a magical version of St. Paul, Minnesota.
